Step One

Recognize Your Need
  • God Loves you.  He gave his one and only Son so that you might receive eternal life now and forever.
(John 3:16) 
  • "I have come that they may have life,"(John I0:I0)

Step Two

Admit You Are a Sinner
  • The Bible tells us that everyone sins and that even though we may do good things or believe that we are good people, we are never perfect or Holy like God is.  We all miss the mark of perfection in some way and damage our relationship with God.
  • "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
  •   If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  (1 John 1:8,9)

Step Three

Jesus Paid the Price for Our Sin
  • Christ Suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.  He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the spirit (1 Peter 3:18).
  • "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8 )      
  • “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”    (John 3:17)

Step Four

Accept God’s Gift
  • God offers you the free gift of salvation and eternal life through Christ.  
  • For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) 
  • "To all who received Him, to those who believed in his name, He gave the right to become children of God." (1 John 1: 12)
  • “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  (Romans 10:13)

Step Five

Choose To Make a Commitment
  • Pray to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  Prayer is having a conversation with God.  You can use this prayer below:

Dear Heavenly Father,
I recognize that I am a sinner and that I am in need of your forgiveness.  I’m sorry for what I have done.
Please forgive me of all my sin and make me clean today.  My life belongs to you.  I believe Jesus Christ is your one and only son, and that his blood was shed to pay the price for my sin.  I confess my need to take Jesus as my saviour.
Thank you for giving me the free gift of salvation. I have new and eternal life with you.  I belong to you and I am your child.   AMEN
